Give thanks to God for the improvements in Dorothy's condition, in getting off the ventilator, for her lungs remaining clear of infection, and for the beginning of improvement in her kidneys.
Please pray that:
- she will sleep very deeply tonight, and feel better in herself tomorrow, and that the sleep pattern may establish itself in the coming nights
- she will be able to continue without the ventilator, and that her throat will recover quickly to allow her to breathe easier - her kidney function will continue to improve, to allow the dialysis to be discontinued
- movement will return to her right leg as the physio exercises are continued - the periods of confusion will lessen, and she will be able to think and speak clearly to the nurses and to us
Ruth, Ali and Malcolm are safely home from Denmark, and Ruth is considering taking Malcolm in to the hospital tomorrow if Dorothy is strong enough.
The next bulletin will be on Friday, and we would all like to thank you again for your love and support. Dorothy was greatly cheered by a card delivered yesterday, signed by over 150 stewards and commissioners at the Church of Scotland General Assembly, at which we should have been stewarding this week. The card is literally covered in signatures - what a lovely thought from so many people.
